Crop Data built an e market place using Microsoft Azure to empower the farmers in the country. Their main aim is to help the smallest farmer even in the remotest part of India to make a viable living as said by Sachin Suri, MD of Crop Data. The e-marketplace named Agriota connects all stakeholders with the focus on providing utmost transparency by using blockchain. With this Indian Farmers will be able to sell their products directly to the end buyers in an open auction. By collaborating with UAE’s Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).

They aimed to have 1,50,000 farmers in the market place encountering to five million in their first five years. They estimated to translate into gross merchandising transactions of 250 million dollars in their first year as well as 8.5 billion dollars in five years.The companies have been made available in 30 districts across eight states and accessible to 50,000 farmers on the marketplace.

CropData, a Nagpur based firm connects farmers to bulk buyers in their e market place.
